Officials of the Edo State Public Works Volunteers (PUWOV) have apprehended two suspects, Famous Sunday and Osasuyi Ken, for impersonation, assault, extortion and impounding of vehicles of members of the public while posing as officials of PUWOV.
The PUWOV State Coordinator, Mukhtar Yusuf-Osagie, confirmed the incident, saying the duo were apprehended at Ibiwe Junction on Ring Road in Benin City.

He said the suspects had been impersonating PUWOV and in the process assaulting, extorting and impounding vehicles.
He said, “They were caught assaulting and extorting one Mr Sunday Omonyeki, a Toyota Corolla driver. The suspects threatened to take the driver and his vehicle to Urhokpota Hall, which they claimed was their office.”
