Two men, David Ameh (49) and Abel Udoh (43), were on Thursday docked before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, over the alleged theft of books valued at N5.2 million.

The duo, whose addresses were not provided, face charges of conspiracy and stealing. They both pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

The prosecutor, SP Josephine Ikhayere, informed the court that the defendants committed the offenses sometime in October 2024 and May 2025 at Learn Africa Plc., situated at Felix Inwerebon House, Oba-Akran Avenue, Ikeja.

Ikhayere alleged that the defendants stole books valued at N5.18 million, the property of Learn Africa Plc.

The Magistrate, Mr. Lateef Owolabi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N300,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum. 

The case was adjourned until August 4 for hearing. (NAN)
