The police in Jigawa have arrested two Fulani youths, Iliya Hussai, 22 and Ado Idi, 23, for allegedly killing their fellow over a girl in Gagarawa Local Government Area of the state.

This was disclosed by the police spokesperson, SP Abdul Jinjiri, while fielding questions from newsmen in Dutse yesterday.

He said late Manu Isa, 22, was attacked during one of the post-Sallah Fulani festivals in Gagarawa town.

Jinjiri said the suspects left their victim in coma after using sticks to beat him, adding that the police took him to the hospital after the case was reported to them. Isa however died two days after.

According to him, as soon as investigation was completed the suspects would be charged to court for conspiracy and culpable homicide which is contrary to section 96 of the penal code.
