Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested two suspects over alleged possession of guns.
The suspects, Ibrahim Mohammed (28) and David James Odaukwo, were arrested by the police in collaboration with the Edo State Security Corps.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Eno Ikoedem, said Mohammed was arrested along the Oluku-Ahor Bypass in possession of a locally fabricated revolver, a flashlight and a vigilante T-shirt.
She said Odaukwo was arrested along the Auchi-Agbede road with an empty LAR rifle magazine concealed in a sack.
According to her, the suspects could not give satisfactory explanation of themselves or their mission.
