Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested two suspects, identified as Ibrahim Kodo, 25, and Orsee Iorzaa, 32, over alleged kidnapping in the state.
The suspects were arrested in the Illushi community, Esan South East Local Government Area of the state, after being identified by their victims.
The command’s spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, said the suspects were tracked down and arrested in collaboration with the Nigerian Army.
She noted that one of the suspects, Ibrahim Kodo, was identified by a victim as one of the three armed men who kidnapped him from his farm on June 2, 2025.
According to Ikoedem, Orsee Iorzaa, of Omi Camp in Illushi, was also identified by a victim as a member of a five-man gang that invaded his home with guns and kidnapped him on February 21, 2026.
She added that investigations are ongoing to recover their weapons and apprehend other members of the syndicate.
