Two passengers waiting to board a vehicle have reportedly lost their lives while four others were injured when a truck driver lost control and crashed at Suleja junction on Kaduna road, in Tafa LGA of Niger State.
Abuja Metro learnt that the incident happened around 5 pm on Sunday at an area, said to be notorious for illegal parking by drivers of small vehicles, as well as commercial motorcycle operators.
A security guard in the area, who witnessed the incident, Ibrahim Muhammad, told Abuja Metro yesterday that the driver was coming from the Madalla axis towards Kaduna.
He said the driver was trying to avoid hitting one of the vehicles that parked at the location, when he lost control and crashed.
He said two passengers by the roadside were killed instantly, while four others, a trader, beggar, car washer, and a mechanic, were injured in the incident.
He said the driver was handed over to the police division in Sabon-Wuse, while the victims were rushed to the Umaru Musa Yaradua memorial hospital.
