Two 100-level students of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Kogi State, have been arrested over alleged involvement in cult-related activities following recent security breaches on the campus.
The suspects, Fidelis Atuluku and Monday Okolo, both of the Department of Social Studies Education, Faculty of Education, were arrested on Tuesday by the university’s joint security team.
According to the university, the suspects were apprehended following a tip-off and were allegedly found in possession of charms.

The institution’s spokesperson, Mrs Uredo Omale, said in a statement that the students had confessed to being members of the Juris Confraternity and claimed they were initiated before gaining admission into the university.

“The suspects have confessed to being members of the Juris Confraternity and stated that they were initiated before securing admission into the university,” the statement said.

Omale added that the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate law enforcement agency for further investigation and possible prosecution.
