2 men arraigned over N6.8m fraud

The police on Monday charged two men, Ajibode Olaleye (51) and Noah Boyanho (73), before a Badagry magistrates’ court in Lagos over an alleged N6.8 million fraud.
The prosecutor, ASP Edet Ekpo, told the court that the defendants committed the offence sometime in August, at No 9, Olorunda St., Morogbô, along the Badagry Expressway.
Ekpo alleged that the defendants conspired to obtain the sum of N6.8m from one Mr Ugochukwu Orikago with a promise to use the same in helping him to rent a shop.
The prosecutor also alleged that defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace contrary to sections 168, 287, 314 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr Nurudeen Layeni, granted the defendants bail in the sum N1m each with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case to January 15, 2026. (NAN)
