Two people have been arrested by the police for attempting to snatch a motorcycle in Kubwa, Abuja.

A resident of Kubwa, Yusuf Gambo, who said the incident happened at about 5.pm around Lion Share, explained that the two snatchers attacked a cyclist with pestle after they flagged him down and told him to assist them convey a patient to the hospital.

He said, “The cyclist agreed to collect N300 to carry the patient, but on getting close to a building, they asked him to stop and one of them hit the cyclist with a pestle and he fell down, but raised alarm and the police came and rounded them up and rushed the cyclist to a hospital.”

The FCT Police Command spokesperson, ASP Maryam Yusuf, did not react to the incident at the time of filing this report.
