Men of the Benue State Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG) have arrested two suspects for vandalising an oil pipeline in Kachi, Apir axis of Ikpayongo in Gwer East LGA. The Commander of BSCVG, Captain Ayuma Ajobi (Rtd), said the arrest was one among numerous ones carried out by his men all over the state.
He explained that, “On Thursday, April 25, we arrested two criminals, Levi Tyokyaa and Anongo Msughter, in the process of vandalising the petroleum pipeline which passes through their village.”
He said, “This is sabotage. The vandalisation is of high magnitude and they have dug over one kilometre. We were able to apprehend two of them. We have identified the buyers and other collaborators.

“We have handed them over to the appropriate quarters today (Monday) for prosecution.”
