Two men, Auwalu Rabi’u and Murtala Soja have been remanded in prison custody by a Kano magistrate court for allegedly attacking Chairman of Wudil local government, Alhaji Isah Garba Isah.
The suspects were arraigned on three-count charge of criminal
conspiracy, criminal use of force and mischief contrary to Sections 97, 268 and 327 of the Penal Code Law.
When the charge was read to the accused, they all pleaded not guilty.
Chief Magistrate Ibrahim Khalil Mahmood adjourned the case for trial on the 12th of February, 2019.
According to the Police First Information Report, Isah reported that he was criminally attacked by the suspects while working at the sub-power station in Wudil local government.
He alleged that the accused beat him up, in the process Soja used a knife and damaged his car’s tyre.
However, when the charge sheet was read to them, the accused pleaded guilty to all the charges leveled against them.
In view of their plea, the Chief Magistrate, Ibrahim Khalil Mahmood adjourned the case to 12th February, 2019 for a summary trial.
