A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of two individuals, Abdulahi Sheidu (37) and Mohammed (37), at the Correctional Centre for their alleged involvement in a murder.
The prosecutor, Inspector A.A. Bamidele, informed the court that the defendants are reasonably suspected of committing the murder of Odims Chukwuemeka.
The legal officer noted that the offence is punishable under Section 234 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.
Inspector Bamidele requested the court to grant the remand order to allow for further investigation.
The defendants’ pleas were not taken.
Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun ordered their remand at the Correctional Centre and adjourned the case until October 7, for mention.
