Two suspected armed robbers have been remanded in prison custody after they were arraigned before an Enugu North magistrate’s court.
The Enugu State Police Command spokesman, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed this in a statement issued in Enugu, identified the suspects as Udeh Samuel Tochukwu and Ike Azubuike.
Amaraizu said they were arrested, arraigned and remanded in prison custody over robbery related cases and others.
According to him, the suspects were arraigned for conspiring with other three persons now at large and arming themselves with Jack-knife to rob one Eze Obinna of his Infinix Hot 4 Phone valued at N45,000.
The spokesman said the suspects have been remanded in prison custody and the case adjourned to November 28, 2017.
Amaraizu said the suspects and others still at large committed the offence on November 19, 2017 during Phyno festival at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
He said the suspects “are now regretting their illicit deals as they are now helping the operatives in order to unmask the fleeing members of the gang.”
