Kano State Fire Service has confirmed that two people sustained injuries following a fire explosion at an engine oil processing plant in Gezawa Local Government Area.
The Public Relations Officer of the service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, in Kano, in a statement, gave the names of the rescued people as Baba Azare and Ibrahim Bakoro, both from the Tsamiya Babba area of the state.

“We received a distress call from one Tasi’u Abubakar at about 06:26 pm, and we sent our firemen and rescue team to the scene at about 6:34 pm.,” he said.
Abdullahi added that the uncompleted premises of about 200×100 feet used as engine oil recycling plant reservoir, containing about 10,000 litres and a tanker were razed by the fire.
