2 stolen vehicles recovered in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has recovered two stolen vehicles and arrested one suspect, Musa Suleh, from Uba in the Hong Local Government Area.

This was disclosed in a press statement released on Monday by the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Ngurore.

According to the statement, operatives from the Yola Division, acting on a tip-off, arrested Suleh at the Jambutu Motor Park in Yola North Local Government Area.

He was found in possession of vehicles suspected to be stolen.

During interrogation, Suleh confessed to stealing a Toyota Starlet with registration number YLA-420, which belongs to Babawo Abubakar of Ngurore, Yola South Local Government Area.

The vehicle has since been recovered. Another green Toyota Starlet, with license plate JAL-861 CL, was also found in his possession, with no documents to prove ownership.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation to determine the origin of the vehicles.

He said the suspect will be charged in court after the investigation.
