Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected thieves, Azeez Folarin (23) and Azeez Rilwan (27), while dispossessing members of the public in heavy traffic of their valuables in the Ikeja area.
City & Crime learnt that Rilwan told the police that, “We wait until the bus stop is filled with passengers. We pretend to be struggling to catch a commercial bus but out targets are phones and purses.”

The command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “The suspects were arrested by the RRS team stationed at the Ikeja City Mall immediately after Folarin snatched the mobile phone of a motorist who was trying to give alms to Rilwan who pretended having a serious ailment.”
He further said Rilwan was released on bail due to his serious state of health while Folarin was arraigned.
