A Kano Magistrate Court No.7 has sentenced two young social media influencers to nine months imprisonmentfor posting indecent pictures on the video-sharing app TikTok.
Isa Kabiru and Fatima Adam were arraigned by the state censorship board before the court for conspiracy to commit crime, sharing of inappropriate content and posting indecent photos disturbing to public morals, to which they pleaded guilty.
Justice Halima Wali sentenced each of them to three months for conspiracy with a fine of N100,000 and another three months or N100,000 fine for sharing inappropriate content.
They were also sentenced to another two months with an option of N50,000 fine for posting of indecent pictures.
The court also ordered them to pay another N100,000 as fine to the board or risk another six monthsjail.
