Two undergraduate brothers, Peter and Marcel Ojonyi, were among 11 persons burnt to death in a gas tank explosion at Ochadamu in Ofu LGA of Kogi State.

A cousin to the late brothers, Mr Ojochogwu Ajodo, who disclosed this in Lokoja at the weekend, said, his late cousins were students of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, stressing that Peter was a 400-level land and survey, while Marcel was in 200-level studying banking and finance.

He explained that they were travelling from Idah to Bauchi to resume studies following the suspension of the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) when the tragedy struck.

Ajodo further disclosed that Peter and Marcel were survived by aged parents and siblings and would be buried on Monday in Idah.
