2 women, 1 minor arraigned for assaulting principal

Two women and a minor were on Wednesday arraigned in an Ota magistrates’ court in Ogun State for allegedly assaulting a school principal.

The prosecutor, Insp E. O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendants, Aminat Ogundare (52), Chioma Udeh (35) and the minor, on February 21, at about 4pm assaulted and tore the clothes of the Principal of A.U.D School, Ota, Mrs Fatima Orenuga, when she prevented them from passing through the school’s premises.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 356, 451and 516 of the Criminal Code of Ogun State 2006.

The Magistrate, Mrs A. O. Adeyemi, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N1m each with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to March 28. (NAN)
