Two housewives have been abducted by gunmen in Kasangwai village a few metres away from Akoti village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.

 A resident, Usman Garba, said the incident happened around 8pm on Monday when the bandits invaded a house and whisked away the victims amid sporadic gunshots.

 He said the husband of the victims travelled to Jere town when the bandits struck.

 Meanwhile, troops have again arrested another suspected bandits’ informant in Janjala community in Kagarko Chiefdom on Monday.

 A resident, Ibrahim Adamu, who confirmed the arrest through telephone to our reporter on Tuesday, said the troops who came into the village around 2pm in a Toyota Hilux arrested the victim who tried to escape after sighting them.

 City & Crime had reported that troops last Thursday raided a hideout in Kagarko town and arrested bandits’ informants and in the process killed a notorious informant popularly known as Malam Goma.

 The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Muhammed Jalige, was yet to confirm the incidents as calls put across to him were not answered as at the time of filing this report.
