Two persons sustained varying degrees of machete cut injury when two cultist groups, Junior Vikings Confraternity, JVC, and 2-2 fraternity, engaged in a bloody clash over supremacy

Four teenagers reportedly arrested by the Special Anti Cultist Squad, SPACS, of the State Police Command, in connection to the incident, were said to have taken part in the last senior West African Examination Council (WAEC).

The suspects who confessed being cultists, said they were forced into the group in 2015 at a birthday party organised by a yet to be identified lady.

Daily trust gathered that the bloody clash was connected with previous  attack on a member of JVC, by a 2-2 member which resulted in the injuring of the JVC member.

"In a bid to retaliate, the JVC members stormed the base of the 2-2 group and a free-for-all bloody fight ensued between the two groups.

"In the process, a JVC member, Kelvin Umoru, had his head cut with a machete and his finger cut also with a knife while one Chidera, now at large, sustained a knife cut injury," the source said.

According to the source, machetes, knives and bricks and stones were freely used during the fight which forced passers-by to scamper for safety.

When contacted, the SPACS Commander, Christopher Bassey, confirmed the arrest, blaming parents for not paying attentio to their children.

"They pay more attention to pursuing money than their family, giving the children the impression that nobody is after them and so join bad companies.
