The Kaduna State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Hafsat Muhammad Baba has donated free delivery kits to 200 pregnant women.

The delivery kits contain items including razor blade, sanitary pad, Diaper and hand glove among others.

 Speaking while donating the kits at the Womenhood Foundation head office in Kaduna; she urged religious and traditional rulers in the state to sensitize husbands in their domain on the need to support and allow their pregnant wives go for ante-natal.

She also commended the founder of the foundation for her humanitarian service to the community.

Earlier in her remark, the matron of the foundation, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar emphasised the importance of ante-natal for pregnant women, noting that attending antenatal regularly would help doctors and other health workers know their history and how to manage pregnancy related complications.

She stressed the need for exclusive breast feeding; saying, it impacted on the health of the baby.
