No fewer than two thousand persons suffering from different eye related ailments benefited from a free treatment outreach program in Safana local government area of Katsina state.
Speaking at the flag up of the program, Speaker Katsina State House of Assembly, Aliyu Muduru said this was part of what the APC promised to assist the less privilege and assured that the assembly would continue to associate with such good gestures.
He called on other members to emulate the gesture to enhance health care delivery across the state.
In his remarks, The financier and  member representing the constituency at the state house of assembly, Abduljalal Runka said the gesture was part of his humanitarian assistance to those in need.
While assuring his readiness to continue to execute programs that will have direct bearing on the constituents, Runka called for more support  to enable him provide the qualitative representation.
A cross section of the beneficiaries lauded the initiative which they said would go a long way in restoring sight and hope to many.
Hajiya Binta Hassan called for more assistance to the poor who were the most vulnerable while Bishir Garba urged other individuals to emulate such gesture so as to alleviate suffering of the masses.
