About 2000 Kwarans will benefit from the free medical care planned by Harmony Holdings Ltd, Ilorin annually.
The initiative is in line with the firm’s commitment to the ideals and principle of corporate social responsibility (CSR), and to further give back to the immediate community where it operates.
In a statement signed by the company’s head of corporate Mr. Tunde Abodunde, said the plan will be actualised through enrolment of 2000 Kwarans across the three senatorial zones.
“The programme is designed to position the company for the future, while generating measurable, positive impacts for society. The objective is to enhance access by Kwarans to quality healthcare through the Community Health Insurance Scheme,” the statement said.
“Under the first phase, the primary targets will be the vulnerable class of people such as pregnant women, elderly people above 60 years, people living with AIDS, new born babies, and children below the age of 10 years,” it added.
