From the exterior to the interior, it has become much bigger and muscular. Likewise its excutive looks have been enhanced by the shoulder lines running from the front vender to the rear. Obviously, this small family saloon car could serve very well as a company car. Moreover, its not out of place for a management staff to be in a deluxe version.
Jetta generates about half of VW’s U.S. sales, and the redesigned 2011 Jetta must take the lead if VW is to hit its mark of trebling sales in the next few years. But there are some slight differences in the chassis made for the American market. For the Nigerian road, the American version will be best because its rear suspension comes with a semi multilink arm to keep the car on track through tight bends. The European version will vary a little bit but will not compromise ride and handling quality.
It is potent enough with the power train base engine of 2-liter four-cylinder rated with 115 horsepower at 5,200 rpm, 125 pounds-feet of torque at 4,000 alongside 2.5-liter five-cylinder: 170 hp at 5,700, 177 lbs.-ft. at 4,250 and a frugal 2-liter TDI diesel coming later this year: 140 hp at 4,000, 236 lbs-ft at 1,750. Really its 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder GLI coming soon: 200 hp, 207 lbs-ft that will the real pace setter.
Of course, we hope to see the base price drop below the previous model which is one of VW is aim in making the Jetta more affordable to increase sales. Let’s hope Stallion Motors will of course bring it in soon which we believe they will do before the Porsche and this will make a strong contender in the family car and company car sector. Believe it or not, it’s worth considering.
