On capacity, Schmand said, “The sprinter is not limited to the 12-seater capacity. From the floor railings it can hold 20 passengers. But for the high roof there has to be a recommended speed for the passengers’ safety. We believe setting the maximum speed to about 100km would guarantee that.”

The interactive screen that appears on the board improves driving. The passenger van’s intelligent dashboard detects and displays sencor warning before hand. This allows business operator to monitor vehicle condition and avoid any form of major repairs. It also gives an update on how much distance the fuel available can cover.

Schmand said the torque is rated torque 325 lb-ft at 1,400-2,400 rpm which pulls very well out of heavy traffic. It uses an electronically controlled direct injection with common rail turbocharger and intercooler function. This of course popped up another question.

In the past motorists could experience a stalled turbo chargers. What is the experience today? “In the past the turbochargers lack enough lubricant to turn the turbines but now there is an existing lubricant inside the chargers to prevent any damage. In other words, there should be no delay when you kick down the trottle and no reason to be afraid of any damage,” Schmand explained.

According to him, the Sprinter is designed to control drivers’ abuse of vehicle for the safety of the passengers. Moreover the Sprinter offers a better driving environment for driver’s comfort.

Schmand told us the Sprinter is built in investors’ interest.
