How are you looking forward to the 2012 London Olympics?

As you are aware, this is my second Olympics. I first represented Nigeria at Beijing 2008 Olympics in China. It was an exciting experience because I came close to winning a medal for the country but I lost the quarter final fight. This time, I hope to come home with a medal.

How are you preparing?

We are training hard because we know what is at stake. For me, preparations for the London Olympics started in 2008, after the Beijing Olympics. We have embarked on training tours. We are beginning to put finishing touches to our preparations.

You are training under an expatriate coach. What can you say about him?

All I can say is that he is an experienced coach. He is doing a lot. He contributed a lot to our qualification for the 2012 Olympics. We so much believe in him because he has proved to us that he knows what he is doing. I know that with his presence, we are going to do better at the Olympics.

How do you hope to handle some of the more experienced fighters at the Olympics?

I am also an experienced fighter. Many people are saying that we are going to meet experienced players but I believe so much in hard work and prayers. We are physically and mentally fit for the Olympics. All we need from Nigerians is their prayers. We would make them proud.
