The Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, said on Monday that the 2014 national confab reports cannot be relied upon for any reformation in the country.

Akume spoke during the Presidential stakeholders meeting held at the Government House in Makurdi.

He stressed that the Confab report could not be relied upon because it defied equality as the number of people who came from the East outnumbered those from the North during the conference, suggesting that the attendance was lopsided.

Akume maintained that even though he was at the National Assembly as a senator during the period, he did not know those who represented him, emphasising that they were merely handpicked without his knowledge.

Earlier, Governor Samuel Ortom remarked that the country needed to be restructured or the confab report of 2014 to be dusted and implemented.

He, however, harped on the need for Nigeria to remain as one indivisible nation for the betterment of all.
