2014 Port Harcourt Book Festival opens Monday

The opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, October 21 while the book fair and exhibition will start at 9: 00am and end to 6: 00pm from Monday to Friday. The theme of the festival is ‘Possibilities For Nigeria at 100,’ with special focus on youth.There will be an array of speakers, including Chude Judeonwo, Fela Durotoye, Perez Tigidam, Christie Bature Ogbeifun, Japhet Omojuwa among others.
Workshop facilitators include Ibiol Ani, chief executive officer of Daisy Management Centre and Trustee Port Harcourt Literary Society and Segun Adeniyi, former Special Adviser on Communication to late former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
Other programmes during the festival include interactive sessions, symposiums, writers’ workshop, drama performances and events for children.
