Buhari made the promise while addressing his supporters at a rally organised by the Plateau chapter of the party in Jos.

”As we all know, agricultural and mining sectors, which had been the major source of our wealth, had been neglected for long by successive administrations.

”Let me assure Nigerians, that if voted into power, we shall revemp these sectors and make them a major source of employment opportunities.

”It is no longer secret, that over sixty per cent of Nigerian youths are unemployed, and that will be one of the area we will pay serious attention to.”

The presidential candidate also promised that corruption would be fought to a stand still under his administration, aadding that the proceeds would be channelled to the social sectors.

He also said the education sector would also be given proper attention, adding that education should be the only legacy any government could leave for the generation yet unborn.

“We shall fight corruption to a stand still, and the proceed that will emanate from that will be used to rehabilitate our schools and equip them adequately, so as to priduce competent students.

”The only and lasting legacy we can keep for the upcoming generation is to make the education sector formidable.”

Buhari called on the people of the state to vote APC in the forthcoming general elections, stressing that doing so would be the only way the state and Nigeria could attain the desired change.
