The highest decision making organ of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), today adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as its sole presidential candidate for next year’s general elections.

 

The meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) which was chaired by the national chairman of the party Adamu Mua’zu, also had in attendance President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark; his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu; and deputy speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha.

 

The decision is expected to be ratified at the party’s national convention billed to hold on December 6.
