2018 Hajj: Bauchi extends payment deadline  for intending pilgrims

Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for intending pilgrims in the state to complete the payment of their 2018 Hajj fares.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa while speaking with journalists in his office.

The executive secretary, who was represented by the director administration and human resource, Alhaji Kasimu Danlami Shall, said that the extension became necessary as a result of public appeals for the extension of the registration period.

According to him, the national hajj commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has extended the deadline from 31st March 2018 to 30th April 2018.

He therefore called on all intending pilgrims in Bauchi State wishing to perform the 2018 pilgrimage to pay the N1.5m deposit before 30th April 2018.

The executive secretary  said that the board is appealing to intending pilgrims who have already made some payment to take advantage of the extension and complete the N1.5m deposit before the stipulated deadline of 30th April 2018 because NAHCON will not extend the deadline again.

"This 1.5m is the cost of last year’s package. This year’s package will be announced by the NAHCON in due course,"he said.

He further advised Hajj officers in all the 20 local government areas of the state to quickly returned their intending pilgrims forms to avoid lateness.
