The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Muftau Okoya, has called on intending Lagos pilgrims to this year’s Hajj to complete payment before the March 31 deadline given by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to all state boards and private hajj operators.

 Speaking with the state’s Commissioner for Home Affairs, Abdul Hakeem Abdul Lateef, Okoya said the state’s target for the 2018 hajj exercise was a figure of 3,000 pilgrims.

 Assuring the commissioner of the safety and welfare of pilgrims, he expressed the readiness of his team to perform better, while urging the pilgrims to forward and complete all documentation to the commission.

 Abdul Lateef implored the entire staff of the Pilgrims Board to key into the vision and mission of the state government, especially in taking people on Holy Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

 He also advised the team players to shun hypocrisy and avoid underrating anyone or overrating themselves, while pointing out that every member of 2018 Hajj operation was important towards achieving success.
