The Chairman of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, has boasted that he will retain power in the council, having performed well in the past two years.
Ajiya stated this when he hosted the youth and women wing of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the council’s secretariat conference hall on Saturday.
He also said the APC-led administration under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, would emerge victorious as well as those of the National Assembly in the February general election, noting that APC under Buhari had provided infrastructure and improvement in the country’s economy within the last three years.
The chairman said people in the council could testify to his performance in the area, adding that there was a difference between what happened during the PDP years and now.
“So I want to tell you that our performance can sell us and we are not shaking as APC shall retain Abaji Area Council and up to the presidency God willing,” the chairman said.
Ajiya, therefore, commended the youth and women of the party for endorsing him for a second term.
