The Tarayar Ekklisiyoyin Kristi A Nigeria (TEKAN) also known as Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria has expressed concern over utterances of politicians ahead of the 2019 general elections.
It said such was inimical to the nation’s political atmosphere, adding that it would be a great disservice to Nigeria, Africa and the international community if the elections fall beyond acceptable standard.
In a communiqué signed by its President, Rev Dr. Caleb Ahima and General Secretary, Moses Ebuga, at the end of an emergency council meeting in Jos, TEKAN said it was imperative for politicians to put the interest of the country above their individual political interests by being civil in their utterances.
