The chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has appointed Ibrahim Abubakar Datsoho as the head of a 24-member campaign team for his re-election bid in the 2019 general elections.
Candido said the team would not only work for his re-election bid but also for President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term.
He said the campaign team should commence work immediately by planning and discussing how best to sell his candidature and that of President Buhari in the council ahead of the 2019 elections.
Candido, in a statement by his chief press secretary, Dayo Lawal, also urged the team to come up with strategies for APC to once again win the council.
In his acceptance speech, the campaign director, Datsoho, thanked the chairman for giving them the opportunity to serve the party.
Other officers of the team were Hashimu Saidu Angama and Chinedu Obika as heads of Logistics; and Planning/Strategies respectively.
