2019: Youth group plans national convention in Abuja

A youth-based pressure group, Noble Youth Mass Support Association (NYMSA), says it has concluded plans to hold its national convention on December 8, 2018 with theme ‘The Youths: Peace and Unity of the Nation’ ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The national coordinator of the group, Comrade Godwin Onmonya, made this known at a press briefing in Abuja yesterday.

He said the convention, which would hold at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, was aimed at sensitising Nigerian youths on the essence of good governance and leadership culture in the country.

“We aim to sensitise Nigerians especially in the rural areas to exercise their franchise by voting and be voted for. And to also enlighten the youths, women and special people on the dignity of their self-worth and value as a nation,” he said.

He added that the group also aims to encourage and propagate peace and unity among youths and women in Nigeria, ahead of next year’s elections.
