Burna Boy

It is just few days into the new year, but the entertainment industry is already rippled with eye-rolling events, which could be a good pointer to the remaining 359 days of the year. The year ended with a big win for Ayo Makun, whose movie, Christmas in Miami made N134.54 million to become the highest-grossing Nollywood movie in 2021.  Also, successful entertainers have started giving tips to upcoming artists on how to use the social media to promote their brands in the year.

Burna Boy shows love to self with over N250m gift

A Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy, started the year by gifting himself an over N250million vehicle. He showed love to himself and posted on his Instagram story that he got for himself a Lamborghini Urus. While posting photographs of the latest addition to his fleet of automobiles, he captioned one of the photos: “Merry Christmas and happy new year, Damini. God loves you, your family loves you and I love you. You don’t need nothing else.”

Among the exterior features of the latest Burna Boy’s acquisition, according to www.lamborghinilongisland.com, is a panoramic roof and 23 inches Taigete wheels. The interior features include a front and rear seat heating Sportivo Leather, contrast stitching, embroidered Lamborghini shield on the headrest and a heated multi-function steering wheel with perforated leather inserts. The Sport Utility Van has an automatic transmission engine with 4.0 litres twin-turbo V8 capacity.

New Year, new house for Davido

Davido has also moved into a new house in 2022. David Adeleke made heads roll in 2021 with his appeal for funds, which he later donated to charity. While processes for the disbursement of the funds were already in motion, he was said to have moved to a highbrow area in Ikoyi, Lagos State. The hip-pop artist tweeted, “I opened my new house today, 2022,” signalling a new beginning of ‘all blessings’ in the year.

Although the cost of the building was not revealed, it costs a fortune to own a building in one of Lagos’ most desired exquisite locations.
