Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has promised to provide the needed logistics support to Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, whenever he is campaigning in the state.
Wike, who has shunned the campaign of Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the offer when Obi commissioned a flyover in Rivers on Thursday.
Wike said Obi has all that it takes to become the President of Nigeria.
The governor advised Obi not to “waste his money” for the governorship election in the state, saying Labour Party has no governorship candidate in Rivers.

“Each time you want to campaign in the State, let me know. All the logistics support will be given to you. But you should not waste your money on anybody for the governorship election because Labour party has no governorship candidate in Rivers State,” he said.
Obi was accompanied by his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, some members of his campaign council who were invited for the inauguration of the Oroworokwo flyover.
Wike and four governors alongside their associates have distanced themselves from Atiku, giving the resignation of Senator Iyioricha Ayu as National Chairman as condition to work for the PDP Presidential campaign.
