The spiritual leader of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS), Olumba Olumba Obu, has declared that the 2023 general elections will be peaceful if Nigerian leaders humble themselves and engender love, peace and unity in the polity.
The divine manifestation of the leader of the BCS was disclosed in Abuja during a press briefing by the spokesman of the brotherhood, Amah Williams, yesterday.
Obu said God was in the Nigerian ship and that if leaders humbled themselves the Lord would steady the turbulent ship.
Our correspondent reports that there have been concerns that the 2023 general elections will be held under an atmosphere of violence and turmoil due to the pervasive insecurity in the country.

But Williams, who said the spiritual leader and his followers did not engage in politicking, assured that, “Through the celebration of the divine manifestation, there will be peace in Nigeria. The 2023 elections will be peaceful, but the leadership and people of Nigeria must acknowledge, must adopt and imbibe the teachings, which are that of selflessness, love, peace and oneness of brotherhood.”
