Presidential Candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has urged Nigerians to believe in his blueprint for the 2023 presidency.
The former Kano State Governor and Defence Minister, gave the assurance on Friday in Abuja.
He spoke when he led a delegation to observe the weekly Jumat (Friday) special prayer at the Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society (AIS) Jumat mosque in Guzape District, Abuja.
Senator Kwankwaso, had on Tuesday in Abuja unveiled his 152-page 25-chapter document titled “My Pledges To You”, promising to listen more and allow Nigerians to dictate the tune of his administration.
“We have confidence in the system, so I urge all Nigerians to create time to look at our Blueprint. Most of what we intend to do are there. I thank God for making it possible for us to come and have this prayer,” Kwankwaso said.
Speaking earlier in his khutbah (sermon), the National Chief Imam of Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society (AIS), Abuja, Imam Fuad Adeyemi, tasked the Muslims in the community on their roles as representatives of Islam.
According to him, “It is about what do we do and what do we need to do rightly as Muslims. We have to be doing things rightly so that the entire nation will be right and when we come together. If the population that is more than 50 percent of the total population will start to fear God, what we do, the desire to help others, and we desire to promote others, definitely it rub on the entire nation.
“So, the message today is that we should learn to help each other, we should learn to support each other. Now that politics is around what do we do that we should be conscious of God in whatever we want to do. What we choose to do and how we choose it, the fear of God should be the basic, not what we want to eat with immediately.”
