Nigeria needs a competent leader who would steer the ship of the nation out of its current state of difficulties.

Stating that Nigeria does not need a self-aggrandised leader or one who has vowed to be president at all costs, the governor called on Nigerians to vote into power a person who is able to rescue the nation from its current woes.
The governor said, “We are in challenging times, not only in Nigeria but across the globe. Countries are trying to adjust and readjust, so many things are changing overnight.
“Issues confronting Nigeria are very surmountable. It would always take a leader to emerge somehow, somewhere, and things could change, and I believe in Nigeria. We know that this thing could change if in 2023, a leader who has the love for the people, who know what to do, an action to take, and what to actually carry out, emerges. That is all that we need, and this situation can be remedied.
“It would be a tale of woes if, in 2023, we don’t even know we are in challenging times as a country. We are looking for a leader, not someone who is on self-aggrandisement, not somebody that has sworn that when I come to the earth, I must be a president before I die.”
Also speaking, former Attorney General of the Federation and Chairman of the occasion, Chief Kanu Agabi, said the convergence of former deputy governors across the country, was a sign of hope for Nigeria, as they were meeting to proffer solutions to the problems facing the country.
Agabi who said the conference was held at a critical time when corruption and fraud have permeated every part of the country, noted that Nigeria was in need of a radical change.
The former AG urged Nigerians to become agents of change and unite, saying the challenges confronting the nation would never end but that unity would help the nation overcome its problems.
