2023: Our youths must avoid being used as thugs

The 2023 general elections are fast approaching and many of our politicians will soon go to their bases to rally up our youths and turn them into their thugs. They use them to win elections and soon after abandon them until another election.

As events leading to the elections unfold, the masses and especially the youth should remember that general elections come only once in four years. Therefore, they should tread with caution.

It is rather unfortunate that today’s youth quickly forget that selfish politicians often use them as political thugs to achieve their goals and dump them.

The youth should have a rethink about being used during elections by politicians to cause havoc.

This is the right time that our youths should focus and find themselves. Everything they need to be great is within them and therefore, should stop themselves from being used by people with vested interest. Nigerian politicians always buy our conscience and turn us to slaves for years.

The youth should remember that we as leaders of tomorrow, must say NO to political thuggery and focus on education and skills acquisition.
