Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal Monday said he would immediately begin consultation on whether to contest the 2023 presidential election or not.
He said this in Sokoto during a stakeholders’ meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He recalled that before deciding to contest the speakership of the House of Representatives in 2011, he made wide consultations.
He said he consulted the Late President Shehu Shagari and others.
“I accepted your calls and in the name of Allah, I will begin the process of consultation from now till February ending,” Tambuwal said.
