Popular Afrobeats musician Wizkid, aka Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has lamented how difficult 2023 was for him.

The singer stated this in an Instagram story post on Sunday evening.

He further stated that he is hoping for a better 2024.

In his words, “23 show me shege! 24 be good to me!.”

Wizkid’s revelation could be linked to his mother’s death which occurred in August, 2023.

Wizkid described the incident as his deepest pain in life.
