The winner of the IBB International Golf and Country Club 2024 Inaugural Captain’s Cup, Shola Adebayo said he is looking forward to more laurels in his golfing career.
The past club competition secretary said all he did during the just concluded Inaugural Captain’s Cup was to concentrate on the game without thinking about the trophy.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja, the Handicap 13 amateur player said he is looking forward to winning more tournaments after emerging the overall best of this year’s event.
Shola Adebayo played a gross of 76 and nett of 63 to outplay over 300 Amateur golfers who participated in the 18-hole competition.

“I am pleased to be the winner of this particular event. All I will say is that you just need to be calm, and take whatever comes your way,” he said.
Captain of the prestigious Golf Club, Ibrahim Babayo said the just concluded Inaugural event is among numerous events promised to execute before the end of their tenure.
“ There is serious reform we are doing like Standard Operating procedure, we are doing staff enhancements, above all, the main thing that we promised is that we are going to upgrade the course into international Status”. Babayo boasts
Highlights of the event include Presentations of trophies and gifts to categories of players including men, Ladies, Veterans as well as Professionals who emerged winners in their different categories during the 18-holes competition.
