The race for the position of overall champion of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season will commence May 1 to May 8, 2026, as the draws are held today at Marriott Hotel in Lagos.

The clubs which would contend in this year’s Super 4 are Doma United, Inter Lagos, Sporting Lagos and Rancher Bees.

The clubs secured their slots in the Super 4 playoffs after finishing at the top of their respective groups, automatically gaining promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

In the group A and B Southern Conferences, Inter Lagos won eight, drew five and lost three matches to garner 29 points while Sporting Lagos FC won six, drew three and lost four matches to finish at the top of their group with 36 points.

In the group C and D Northern Conferences, Doma United won seven, drew two and lost four matches to earn 26 points while Ranchers Bees won six, drew two and lost four times on the road to finish at the top with 20 points.

For the first time in history, all four promoted clubs are privately owned — a landmark moment that reflects where Nigerian club football is headed.  

Ahead of the draw, the National Sports Commission (NSC) Director General, Bukola Olopade, and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, will lead the delegation of Nigerian sports administrators to the draws. 

Other dignitaries expected are ex-Super Eagles legends, with the ‘Prince of Monaco’ Victor Ikpeba, and other big guns from across the industry expected to grace the event.
