The Coalition of Civil Society Network has endorsed an illustrious son of Sokoto state, Umar Faruk S. Fada, for House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general election.

Briefing newsmen in Abuja, the coalition’s Convener, Mohammed Shehu, explained that the call became necessary based on the track record of Fada, whom they described as a man that has the interest of the people at heart.

Shehu also described Lalu as a grassroots politician and seasoned administrator.

He said: “The Coalition of Civil Society Network, after wide consultations and careful consideration, issues this public statement as both a rallying cry and a sincere appeal to Honourable Umar Faruk S. Fada to heed the call of history and present himself for election into the National House of Representatives in 2027.

“At a time when our people in Sokoto North and South yearn for leadership that is both visionary and grounded, the name of Umar Faruk S. Fada continues to emerge as a symbol of hope. His grassroots empathy, spiritual depth, and unmatched integrity have earned him a sacred trust among the people.

“We recall how he, having experienced the struggles of the less privileged firsthand, chose a life dedicated to service. This deep-rooted compassion is not just spoken—it is lived. Through tireless acts of philanthropy, educational support for students, empowerment of women through shelter and business aid, and his consistent backing of small business owners, S. Fada has already demonstrated the quality of leadership our constituency urgently needs.
