A group known as The Tinubu House-to-House Network has declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu second term bid, tipping Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan for the governorship seat in Yobe State.
The endorsement was announced on Wednesday during a massive rally held in Nguru Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The rally attracted a large coalition of grassroots mobilizers, elders, women, and youth groups from across the 17 local government areas of the state.
Addressing journalists after the rally, the National Secretary of the Tinubu House-to-House Network, Comrade Bashir Sharif Tahir, said the movement is a coalition of progressive minds committed to sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda at the federal level, while ensuring continuity of impactful leadership in Yobe State.
He added that the network has strengthened its collaboration with stakeholders across all wards to build a united and formidable front.
Tahir noted that the endorsement of Senator Lawan is based on his proven track record in legislative service, infrastructural development, and his commitment to peace and the overall development of Yobe State.
In his remarks, the State Coordinator of the Daga Buni Sai Bade Movement, Alhaji Nasir Mato, said the Tinubu administration has demonstrated commitment to addressing the country’s security and economic challenges.
He described Senator Lawan, a former President of the Senate, as the most suitable candidate to lead Yobe State to the next level.
According to him, Yobe State benefited from numerous federal government interventions during Lawan’s tenure as the third-ranking citizen of the country.
He further stated that Lawan’s vast experience in academia and legislative responsibilities underscores his competence for the position.
The rally is widely seen as an early indicator of the political direction in Yobe State as the 2027 election cycle approaches.
