A political support group, Forward With Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 (4BAT), has announced plans to hold a 5 million-man march and endorsement rally in support of President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the Director-General of the group, Comrade Peter Ikpen Ilefa, said the rally is aimed at demonstrating support for the President and encouraging him to seek re-election.
Ilefa described the organisation as an independent mobilisation platform working through grassroots networks to canvass support for the President. He said the group had been holding consultations across the geopolitical zones with political leaders, public office holders, traditional institutions and business stakeholders.
According to him, several political figures have expressed willingness to work for President Tinubu’s re-election, adding that 4BAT has established a nationwide structure down to the polling unit level to coordinate its activities.
He said the group believes President Tinubu’s policies and initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda have contributed to development efforts in areas such as infrastructure, economic reform, education and governance. He cited projects including the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway as examples of ongoing federal investments.
Ilefa also referenced government decisions such as the fuel subsidy removal, student loan scheme, review of minimum wage and reforms in local government administration, describing them as measures the group views as significant steps toward long-term national development.
On security, he said the group acknowledges ongoing challenges nationwide but believes efforts by the administration and security agencies have contributed to improvements in some areas.
He added that the group expects ongoing fiscal and tax reforms to support economic growth, encourage investment and boost local enterprise activity when fully implemented.
Ilefa reiterated the group’s commitment to mobilising support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, stating that its activities will continue through consultations and public engagement.
